John Robins is an award-winning stand-up comedian and broadcaster who won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for The Darkness of Robins and has toured the UK to widespread acclaim, including a sold-out show at London’s Eventim Apollo. He is the author of the acclaimed memoir The Darkness of Robins and the follow-up book Thirst, and returned to the stage in 2024 with his UK tour Howl. A familiar face from shows such as Live at the Apollo and Mock the Week, he is known for his intensely personal material and his openness about mental health.

Elis James is a stand-up comedian, broadcaster and actor who has appeared on Mock the Week and Eight Out of Ten Cats, and starred in BBC3’s Crims and Josh. A passionate sports fan, he has co-hosted several popular podcasts and is a regular writer for The Guardian. He is also co-author of The Holy Vible.

Together, Elis and John are one of the UK’s most popular comedy partnerships. Since first teaming up on XFM in 2014, they have built a devoted audience through their BBC5Live radio show, podcasts, live tours and their book The Holy Vible, earning a reputation for sharp comedy and candid conversations about mental health.
